Biography

Dr. Victor Acinas is responsible for public-private partnerships in Europe at Applied Materials, the world’s largest semiconductor fabrication equipment supplier. He leads the development of strategic technology alliances by initiating and coordinating partnerships and government funded collaborative projects across 12 countries in Europe.

Currently he is also a Technical Expert Group member of the Association for European NanoElectronics ActivitieS (AENEAS), evaluator of European projects, Steering Committee Member of the Advanced Materials European Technology Platform (EuMaT) and Industry Committee Member of the Advanced Manufacturing Center in Ireland (I-Form).

In previous roles he led the internationalisation strategy of the Irish Technology Centre on Nanotechnology, CCAN, was an R&D Project Manager for the largest Spanish multinational in the energy and renewable sector, Abengoa, and a researcher and lecturer in electronics at Tampere University of Technology in Finland.

Dr. Victor Acinas received a BSc and MSc in Telecommunication Electronics in Spain, a MSc in Industrial Management in Finland and a PhD in Business from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
